About Bunyad

Bunyād is an annual double-blind peer-reviewed scholarly research journal of international recognition published by the Gurmani Centre for Languages and Literature, LUMS University. It is devoted to generate and disseminate new, high quality knowledge about Urdu literature, linguistics, criticism, history of literature, archival research, and translation studies. It promotes advanced research and best practices in these fields. It provides a platform to emerging scholars and academics globally to share their original and research work on significant issues.

All issues of Bunyād are available online. It was recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan and placed in ‘Z’ category w.e.f. August 2014. It was upgraded to ‘Y’ category w.e.f. February 2015.
